So glad that we looked up this spot on Yelp instead of sticking to what was off the highway. This food was excellent!
The kids had a cheeseburger and slaw and also a hotdog with Mac n cheese. My wife and I tried one of the main platters with pork, fish, etc. There literally was nothing bad. If you have kids you know how difficult it is to find somewhere that everyone loves and doesn't complain about. It's nearly impossible. But we all would have ordered what we ate again.
They have indoor seating as well as some open air spots. Everything feels like you're on farm land out in the middle of nowhere which is what I especially enjoyed. The prices were great, too! We spent less on dinner than we did eating out at breakfast. Service was super fast and friendly.
Really happy that we stopped in. Skip all the crap up off the road and drive here. Well worth it. -

Pros: The menu was easily accessible, when I called in to ask questions about some of the items the lady I spoke to was extremely nice. We ordered the food to go, and our order was correct when we received it. The boxes were also well labeled in the bags.
Cons: Unfortunately, there were more cons than pros. I've seen so many positive reviews about this place, and I wanted to try it out. Immediately when I picked up the bags they seemed extremely light for the amount of food we ordered. We ordered five different meals. Catfish nuggets, hamburger, hotdogs, fried chicken, hamburger steak, and various sides ( see picture ). After opening the boxes we understood why the bags were so light. There was hardly any food in each box, it maybe like most restaurants where they give you less when you order to go, but I assumed if we spent over forty dollars it would be a decent amount of food. The food itself was just okay nothing spectacular. The catfish nuggets had bones in them, the hamburger was small but my daughter enjoyed it, my hamburger steak was okay it doesn't come with rice, the fried chicken was decent, and I probably could have had a better hotdog at CookOut. The sides were not great either. The biscuits tasted like cakes instead of biscuits, the cabbage and baked beans were good but had a lot of sugar in them as well. I would probably only go back for the mac and cheese.
I believe in giving places second chances, so I will more than likely go back but not as a family and not ordering to go. -

Its the southern food you imagine you'd get from a Grandma's house in South Carolina. If you're looking for fancy this is not the place but if you appreciate good food and super casual, you're in the right spot. I want to drive back just for the shrimp and grits. My husband's pot roast dinner was just ok. My son's hot dog was waaayyyy over cooked- almost like it had already been cooked and was simply reheated. Service was good and the food came out pretty fast. Overall a good experience and a great alternative to settling for fast food.

Great place on a road filled with chain restaurants. I got the shrimp and grits and seafood chowder. Both were very tasty, but a little bit too salty. The counter workers were super nice and described all the menu items. Word of warning the shrimp and grits has polish sausage...I don't eat pork or beef so this was a little odd. I picked it off, and all was good.

Holy cow y'all. I had the fried catfish, mashed potatoes and gravy, sautéed cabbage and a biscuit. Everything was phenomenal! Best biscuit I've ever had outside of New Orleans. Comfort food done right with friendly service.
